CEC Closes Polling Centers in Deir al-Balah, Counting Begins

Deir al-balah: The Central Elections Commission - Palestine announced the closure of all 12 polling centers in Deir al-Balah, marking the commencement of the counting and tabulation process. This phase will be conducted under the watchful eyes of observers, electoral list agents, and accredited journalists to ensure transparency and accuracy.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the voter turnout in Deir al-Balah was reported at 22.66%. Out of the total 70,449 eligible voters in the region, 15,962 individuals exercised their right to vote. The commission emphasized the importance of each vote and ensured that the counting process would be carried out with utmost integrity.

In a related announcement, the commission confirmed that polling centers in the West Bank are set to close at precisely 7:00 p.m. Residents were encouraged to participate in the electoral process by heading to their designated polling stations before the deadline, reinforcing the commission's call for active civic engagement.
