Post: Bennett’s Remarks on Area C Rejected by Palestinian Official

Ramallah: Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh criticized former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's statements regarding Area C in the West Bank, labeling them as condemned and contradictory to international law and UN resolutions.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Abu Rudeineh emphasized that the State of Palestine is recognized by the international community and holds membership in over 100 international organizations and treaties. It is officially recognized by 160 countries globally.

He warned that such remarks could exacerbate instability in the region, reiterating that international law and UN resolutions support a two-state solution. This solution envisions a sovereign and independent Palestinian State, with East Jerusalem as its capital, coexisting peacefully with Israel based on pre-1967 borders.

Abu Rudeineh concluded by stating that achieving regional security and peace hinges on ending the Israeli occupation and allowing Palestinians to realize their self-determination and independence. Without these measures, the region risks remaining in a perpetual cycle of conflict.
