Gaza: At least 18 civilians, including children and women, were killed and dozens more injured early Tuesday morning as a result of Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling of various locations and neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip. In the vicinity of the University College west of Khan Younis, two civilians, including a child, were killed when a tent housing displaced persons was targeted.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, later reports from medical sources at the hospital indicated that four others were killed and injured when the Israeli occupation forces shelled a tent housing displaced persons near "Fash Fursh" in the Al-Mawasi area west of the city. In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported that five people were killed and several others were wounded due to a bombing targeting a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Bassa area.
The same hospital also reported that five other people were killed as a result of the occupation's targeting of groups of citizens near the "Kissufim" site, southeast of Deir al-Balah. Meanwhile, Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City, stated that two people were killed and 53 were wounded following the occupation forces' bombing of crowds of citizens waiting for food aid in the "Zikim" area, northwest of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Just before midnight last night, four civilians, including a journalist, were killed and others were injured in shelling that targeted the Al-Sabra neighborhood in southern Gaza City and other areas in Deir al-Balah. It is worth noting that the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has resulted in the killing of 62,004 citizens, with the majority being children and women, and the injury of 156,230 others, as per a preliminary toll.
Thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulance and rescue crews unable to reach them.
