Armed Israeli settlers went on a rampage today through fruitful fields of Palestinian farmers in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. The assailants vandalized and pillaged property, leaving local farmers devastated, according to local sources. The sources informed WAFA that a group of armed settlers descended upon the farmlands in the Sha'b Al-Tuwana area in Masafer Yatta, cutting down numerous fruitful trees and wreaking havoc on the agricultural infrastructure. The assailants also dismantled a tent and its facilities, leaving destruction in their wake. The armed settlers also stole agricultural equipment and a water network belonging to a local Palestinian farmer, Hatem Makhamera. The incident further compounds the challenges faced by the already struggling Palestinian farmers, whose livelihoods depend on the productivity of their lands. Residents of Masafer Yatta have experienced a noticeable increase in settler attacks on both their properties and themselves, with these incidents occurring almost daily.
