Hebron: Armed Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian farmers, stole agricultural equipment, and contaminated water wells in separate incidents in the Hebron governorate on Thursday, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, activist Osama Makhamreh reported that a group of armed colonists from the colony of Susia attacked a Palestinian farmer who was harvesting wheat and barley crops in the Khallet al-Hummus area south of Yatta. The colonists assaulted the farmer and stole his agricultural equipment.
In another incident northeast of the town of Sa'ir, colonists contaminated privately owned water wells with unidentified substances and entered the wells to swim.
Residents in the area have faced near-daily provocations by Israeli colonists, including nighttime raids, destruction of trees and crops, theft of property, and assaults on local residents. Two residents were wounded by live ammunition during a colonist attack on homes in the area in March.
