Arab Parliament Welcomes International Recognition of Palestine by Britain, Australia, and Canada

Gaza: The Arab Parliament welcomed the historic decision announced by Britain, Australia, and Canada to officially recognize the State of Palestine, stressing that this step represents a new victory for the legitimate Palestinian cause and a clear reflection of the international will to reject the continued Israeli occupation and its aggressive practices. Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi stressed that this tripartite recognition strengthens the position of the State of Palestine on the international stage and represents a qualitative shift in the path of supporting the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Al-Yamahi pointed out that this bold step by the three countries embodies their respect for international law and relevant UN resolutions. He highlighted that this historic development represents a strong message to the international community urging effective action to end the occupation and halt its crimes against the Palestinian people, and to create the necessary conditions for achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Al-Yamahi reiterated the Arab Parliament's firm position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their independent, sovereign state, and in mobilizing recognition of the State of Palestine as the right path to achieving security and stability in the region.
