Gaza: Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi stated that Israel’s plan to impose control over the Gaza Strip constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, including the Geneva Conventions and Security Council and General Assembly resolutions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Al-Yamahi emphasized in a statement by the Arab Parliament that this plan, along with the ongoing massacres committed against defenseless civilians in Gaza and their displacement sites, represents a systematic aggressive policy to enforce a new reality by force in the region.
Al-Yamahi further warned that implementing such plans would lead to increased escalation and instability in the region, undermining international and regional efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.
He urged the international community, including the Security Council, human rights and humanitarian organizations, and international and regional parliaments, to take a moral and legal stand, halt these violations, hold the occupation accountable for its crimes, and take immediate action to provide international protection for the Palestinian people and ensure unconditional access to aid.
