Ramallah: An agreement was signed to supply the city of Hebron with electricity from the Beit Ula station through the Palestinian Electricity Transmission Company, benefiting the Hebron Electricity Company, with funding from the World Bank. The signing ceremony took place at the Energy Authority's headquarters under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Prime Minister Mustafa stated that the government is progressing swiftly with the Energy Security Initiative to enhance national energy production capabilities and infrastructure. He highlighted the government's commitment to developing the legislative and infrastructural framework, which is crucial for achieving greater energy sector independence.
Mustafa expressed satisfaction with the agreement's completion, viewing it as a significant step toward providing essential support to citizens and driving economic and social development in the Hebron Governorate. He also emphasized the importance of addressing the electricity challenges in the Gaza Strip, urging coordinated efforts for the sector's rapid reconstruction.
