Post: 28 Palestinians Killed in 24 Hours Amid Intensifying Israeli Assault on Gaza

GAZA CITY: Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of at least 28 Palestinians and injuries to 59 others within the last 24 hours, according to medical reports. These incidents form part of a series of five massacres against families in the area, highlighting the severe toll on the civilian population.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the overall Palestinian death toll has reached 45,581 since the escalation of violence began on October 7, 2023, with an additional 108,438 people injured. Women and children make up the majority of those affected, as the situation continues to deteriorate.

Emergency services face significant challenges in reaching affected individuals due to obstructions by Israeli forces, which hinder ambulance and civil defense crews from accessing casualties and retrieving bodies from rubble-strewn roads and collapsed structures. The ongoing violence has left many in dire need of medical assistance, yet unable to receive it.

Despite international pressure, including calls from the United Nations Security Council for a ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice to prevent further genocide and address the humanitarian crisis, the conflict shows no signs of abating. The international community remains concerned about the escalating violence and its devastating impact on Gaza's civilian population.
