GAZA: Twenty-three citizens were killed and more than 100 others were injured by Israeli occupation forces' fire and shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources reported that 17 citizens, including one child, were killed, and more than 100 others were injured by Israeli army fire near an aid distribution center at the Netzarim axis, south of Gaza City. The sources added that three citizens from one family were killed when the occupation forces shelled a tent for displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes on civilian homes in the Batn al-Sameen neighborhood of Khan Yunis.
Five citizens were injured when an Israeli drone targeted civilian gatherings in the al-Da'wa area in the central Gaza Strip, firing direct bombs. In the city of Deir al-Balah, Israeli aircraft targeted the vicinity of the Red Crescent headquarters west of the city, resulting in deaths and several injuries. The Israeli forces also fired smoke bombs in the airspace of the eastern areas of Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation has continued its aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 54,880 citizens, most of them children and women, and the injury of 126,227 others.
