The Ministry of Interior announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of two accused who assaulted the medical staff at Al-Karkh Hospital in Baghdad. A statement by the ministry stated that "the detachments of the Second Al-Karkh Emergency Regiment affiliated with the Baghdad Al-Karkh Police Command intervened immediately after an assault on the medical staff at Al-Karkh Hospital, which is located within the sector of responsibility of the regiment, and arrested two accused who assaulted the medical staff at the hospital, where they were taken to the police station to take the necessary legal measures against them in accordance with the law." In turn, the Commander of Baghdad Al-Karkh Police directed that all deterrent legal measures be taken to eliminate this phenomenon and against anyone who assaults or attacks the medical staff working within the sector."
