Ramallah: At least 19 Palestinians were injured on Monday during an ongoing Israeli military raid in the center of Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS). Medical teams reported that the wounded included a 12-year-old child shot with live ammunition in the back near the central vegetable market. A young man was shot in the hand, another in the thigh, and two others were injured by live bullet shrapnel. A 71-year-old man and four others were also wounded in the head, face, abdomen, and neck by rubber-coated steel bullets. During the raid, five more people suffered from tear gas inhalation, including two pregnant women.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources confirmed that Israeli forces stormed a currency exchange shop in the area between Ramallah and al-Bireh, detaining at least three Palestinians. Soldiers also fired rubber bullets at a vehicle belonging to journalists, causing damage to the car.
Occupation forces also suppressed participants in the National Day of action calling for the return of the bodies of Palestinians killed by occupation authorities at the Baladna Center in the city of Al-Bireh.
