The Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of 16 people wanted by the judiciary, including one accused of terrorism and another promoting one of the extremist movements on the Karkh and Rusafa sides. The Command stated in a statement: A force from the two divisions (second and fifth), federal police, and through conducting security practices and executing judicial arrest warrants, arrested (16) accused according to various legal articles, including one accused according to Article (4/1) of terrorism, after monitoring his movements. His whereabouts were within the area of responsibility, and in an elaborate ambush he was arrested east of the capital, Baghdad. Another accused had distributed leaflets glorifying one of the 'extremist movements' to citizens in Al-Jihad neighborhood area next to Al-Karkh.
