Gaza city: A 13-year-old Palestinian child was shot and killed on Friday by Israeli army fire in the northern Gaza Strip. WAFA correspondent reported that the child was killed in the Beit Lahia Project area in the northern part of the enclave.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier on Friday, another Palestinian was killed by Israeli army gunfire on Salah al-Din Street in the Shujaiyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. This incident marks a continuation of violence despite the ceasefire declared in October last year.
Since the ceasefire, 636 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,700 others injured by Israeli fire across the Gaza Strip. The ongoing violence has intensified concerns about the fragile state of peace in the region and the humanitarian impact on the residents of Gaza.
